Hemodynamic Control using Direct Model Reference Adaptive Control Experimental Results

چکیده
Regulation of hemodynamic parameters is a challenging problem, due to interand intra-patient variability, drug interactions, evolving patient condition, and in the case of simultaneous control of mean arterial pressure and cardiac output, tight coupling between the two variables. This requires a controller that can adapt to conditions as they evolve, and without the need to tune the controller for each individual patient. To address these problems, direct model reference adaptive control (DMRAC) is extended by incorporating mechanisms to handle rate and saturation constraints, allowing a range in the value of a regulated variable instead of fixed setpoint tracking, and a design method that directly considers time delay uncertainty. In this paper we present experimental results using extended DMRAC on canines, for a variety of conditions. These results demonstrate the feasibility of using DMRAC, with the advantage of not requiring prior model identification for the individual patient.

Sensorless Model Reference Adaptive Control of DFIG by Using High Frequency Signal Injection and Fuzzy Logic Control
In this paper, a new sensorless model reference adaptive method is used for direct control of active and reactive power of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). In order to estimate the rotor speed, a high frequency signal injection scheme is implemented. In this study, to improve the accuracy of speed estimation, two methods are suggested. First, the coefficients of proportional-integral ...

This paper presents fuzzy and conventional performance of model reference adaptive control(MRAC) to control a DC drive. The aims of this work are achieving better match of motor speed with reference speed, decrease of noises under load changes and disturbances, and increase of system stability. The operation of nonadaptive control and the model reference of fuzzy and conventional adaptive contr...
متن کاملDesign of a Model Reference Adaptive Controller Using Modified MIT Rule for a Second Order System
Sometimes conventional feedback controllers may not perform well online because of the variation in process dynamics due to nonlinear actuators, changes in environmental conditions and variation in the character of the disturbances. To overcome the above problem, this paper deals with the designing of a controller for a second order system with Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) scheme usi...

The objective of this study is to design a robust direct model reference adaptive controller (DMRAC) for a nonlinear cardiovascular model over a range of plant parameters representing a variety of physical conditions. The direct adaptive controllers used in thisd study require the plant to be almost strictly positive real (ASPR) that is, for a plant to be controlled there must exist a feedback ...
